How We Fix Foundations in Seattle
The problem is simple: your home is sinking/settling into the ground from soft soil that cannot hold the emense weight of your home. To fix this we need to lift your house back into position, but how? Our method is to use a system commonly known as foundation piering, where we place long steel framed tubes (piers) along the edges of your home, and drive them deep into the ground until it reaches either bedrock or load-bearing strata. Bedrock or 'load-bearing strata' are a part of the earth's strongest crust that we can drill into and will hold any amount of weight. We then use hydraulics to push the piers while lifting your home. While using state-of-the-art measurement tools we can accurately calculate each position of the pier, how far into the ground they are expected to be pushed before reaching bedrock or 'load-bearing strata', and the main areas of your home that are sinking.
